Obituary of Patricia O'Hara Hally

After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, Patricia O’Hara Hally died peacefully on Sunday, October 28th, with her loving husband, Tom by her side.
Patricia was born on November 19, 1934 in Utica, NY to John and Esther Marriott O’Hara. She grew up with two sisters, Stephanie and Suanne.  After receiving her nursing degree in Rochester, NY, Patricia's career spanned from working in hospitals and schools to a long and successful career at Blue Cross / Blue Shield.
Pat met and Tom through her nursing school classmate, Kay Hally Ryan. Once married, Tom and Pat traveled frequently throughout Tom's 30 year U.S. Air Force career.  She made a loving home for her family in the Philippines, Texas, New York, Florida, and Virginia, before retiring to Florida. Pat also was a supportive wife, entertaining Tom’s work associates for the diplomatic posts. In addition to being a loving and dedicated mother to her four children, she kept busy as an active volunteer in her church, school, civic and community activities, and was also an avid reader.
The beloved wife of 59 years to Col. Thomas J. Hally, USAF (retired).  Sister to Suanne O'Hara Savino of Painted Post, NY and preceded in death by sister Stephanie O'Hara Hughes.  Mother to Bridget Hally Graves (Dave) of Charlotte, NC, Moira Hally Cranley (Greg) of Herndon, VA, Gretchen Hally Hardtke (Bill) of Herndon, VA, and Patrick Thomas Hally (Cherie) of Virginia Beach, VA will be dearly missed.  Survivors also include ten grandchildren: Megan Graves, Zachary Hally, Alexandra Hally Siragusa (Brad), Gregory Cranley, Hally Hardtke Kiniry (Nick), Colleen Graves Crouse (Brandon), Erin Hardtke Wieler (Bobby), Shannon Hardtke, Ellen Cranley, Patrick Hardtke, and one great-grandchild, Victoria Siragusa.
Following the Funeral Mass on Friday, Pat will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
