Obituary of Daniel R. Lau

Daniel R. Lau, age 63, died on December 4, 2008 at his home in Sterling, VA. He was born on October 30, 1945 in Washington, DC. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, driving M113 Personal Carriers Tanks. He was a member of the Isaac Walton League and loved to go camping with his family. Dan was the beloved husband of the late Ann M. Lau, loving and devoted father of Richard W. Lau of Marshall, VA and Kenneth E. Lau of North Canton, OH, son of Ruth E. Lau of Olney, MD and the late Herbert W. Lau, brother of Mildred Parker of Maryland, Diana Gillespie of North Carolina, Linda Rokus of Florida and Peggy Reeves of Maryland, proud grandfather of Nicholas and Ionna. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11 th from 6-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12 th at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at Sterling Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Evercare Hospice, 8245 Boone Blvd., Suite 401, Vienna, VA 22182.
