William M. "Bill" Lawrence, age 86, died on August 24, 2007 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on May 19, 1921 in Herndon, VA to the late John and Sarah Jane Lawrence. Bill was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a long time member of the Royal Order of the Moose. He was also an avid fisherman and Redskins fan, who loved the bay and the ocean. Bill was the beloved husband of Vera Lawrence and the late Lutrell Lawrence, loving and devoted father of Janel F. Sansotta-Ammann and her husband Hal of Burtonsville, MD, Kyle E. Lawrence and his wife Robin of Ruther Glen, VA and the late Billy Lawrence, brother of Helen Dix of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sarah Jane Smith of Ashburn, VA, Nancy Rollins of Hamilton, VA, Betty Marini of Fredericksburg, VA, Donald Lawrence of St. Petersburg, FL and Julia Bear of Herndon, VA, proud grandfather of six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29 th from 6-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30 th at 10am. Graveside services will be held with Military Honors on Tuesday, September 11th at 10am at Arlington National Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
