Dear Diana, Brook and Justin, I am so sorry to have learned of the death of Jim this past Sunday. I can't tell you the number of times that I have been driving near Georgetown Pike and thought of you all and wondered how you are doing. Death is never an easy reality for those of us who are left behind, but it is a wonderful gift to the one who gets to go home to the Lord and so, I rejoice with Jim as he comes to know God in ways that we can not even imagine. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time of seperation and loss. What a gift he was to you as husband and father and a gift to all the rest of us who had the chance to know him at various levels. I regret that my schedule doesn't allow me to get to the wake or funeral, but know that you are all in my prayers and that I will be offering Mass for Jim on Friday. May the Lord bless you now and always. Father Mike
