I can share with you countless personal stories regarding Jimmy’s positive impact on my life, but I’m certain all that know him share similar wonderful experiences. Many of us are better people because he humbly extended his friendship and shared his wisdom with us. I ’m deeply saddened because I will miss his physical presence, but his “light” shall always burns bright in my heart. Jimmy taught me how to be a responsible man. I’m eternally grateful for the HONOR and PRIVILEGE of having Jimmy Lewis as my MENTOR, ROLE MODEL, and FRIEND! It is hard to believe my friend, a giant of a man, has traveled on to be with our Creator! While I mourn his passing, I celebrate and cherish his life and the many wonder memories and lessons. Jimmy is the absolute epitome and shining example of a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and associate. He is great American! Detricia and I extend our heart felt condolences to Shay and family. Jimmy leaves us all with many powerful and broad reaching examples of citizenship. Rest well knowing that he selflessly gave of himself. Rest knowing that he has done the work of GOD! Rest knowing that GOD as told his son, Jimmy, Well Done! Thanks you for sharing Jimmy with us. Very Respectfully, Kevin Sullivan

I had the great honor to be able to know and Jimmy. We were onboard the USS GALLANT together and remain friends for years after we had both retired from the Navy. Jimmy will be sorely missed by all. He had a very gentle way about him. He will always be loved by those who knew him. God Bless and Keep the family at this time of sorrow.

I knew Jimmy at SOCPAC during our service there together. His sense of self and good sense of humor are qualities of Jimmy that I will always remember. While I always appreciated Jimmy as a good friend, that sense of closeness deepend when we found out that we were born one day apart (his b'day Sept. 3, 1952, mine Sept. 4, 1952). I know Jimmy will be missed by all who loved him. God bless you Jimmy, and as they say in the Navy, I wish you Fair Winds and Following Seas my friend.

My dear Hsieh....I can only imagine how much you will all miss Jimmy. I know I have always held dear all the wonderful memories from our time in Hawaii. When Liana told me, I had a really hard time believing it because he was always so full of life. I will always remember him full of joy, loving family, and dancing. Yes, dancing.....I remember we did this often at your house in Ewa Beach and at the O club up in Wahiawa, and in thinking about him, I can't help but smile.
