Dear Marilyn
I am one of BJ’s and your admirers. He was kind even in the midst of pain and suffering. You have been such a faithful, caring, and loving wife. Both of you were exemplars of Christian compassion .
BJ is now at rest in God’s arms after a job well-done. Marilyn, take this time to reflect on those wonderful years together. Blessings. LaVerne Gill—

We were so very sorry to learn of B.J.'s death. We enjoyed years of friendship and shared experiences, and have been inspired by all that he (and Marilyn) did for the community, and for B.J.'s courage and spirit in facing the hardships that life brought to him.

I feel terrible that I hadn't heard about BJ before this. I knew he was in Maple Grove but didn't realize he was doing so poorly. I know this is a hard time for you to go through but it has to be a relief to know that he is no longer suffering and you no longer have to watch it. With all my best wishes

BJ did much for Boy Scouts.
2Timothy 4:6-8
As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but to all who have longed for his appearing.

I’m so sorry for your loss. If this can be comforting to you, just know that he is no longer suffering (Ecclesiastes 9:5) and now he, as well as others who have died, awaits the wonderful resurrection that Jehovah God has promised (Acts 24:15). I hope this message brings you comfort.

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting B. J. On several occasions while serving on the Reston Bike Club board of directors. He impressed me as a very kind and active man who was easy to talk to. I'm very sad to hear of his passing but inspired by his determination to rise above his undeserved medical condition. May he rest in peace and may his family be comforted by their many wonderful memories of him.
