Obituary of Darlene Daughtry

On Thursday, January 17th, 2019, Lynda Darlene Daughtry, beloved daughter of Alice and Burt Daughtry, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on April 17th, 1951 in Washington D.C. Darlene had a wonderful childhood growing up in Great Falls with her two brothers Tim and Howard. Darlene graduated from Langley High school and then went onto William Woods College where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree.

The things she loved most was spending time with family, traveling near and far, going to the beach, reading a good book, and hugging every dog within sight. 

Her father, Burton L Daughtry, who she loved dearly, preceded her in death. Darlene is survived by her mother, Alice Levanas Daughtry; her brother, Tim Daughtry; her brother Howard and his wife Debbie Daughtry; Nephew and Nieces, Nic Daughtry, Katie Daughtry, and Tina Daughtry, as well as many cousins.

The family would like to thank the many people who loved Darlene and who called family members to offer their condolences.  Family will receive guests from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1020 Springvale Rd., Great Falls, VA 22066 followed by burial at Arnon Cemetery, 646 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA  22066. Following graveside service, family and friends will gather at The Old Brogue, 760C Walker Road, Great Falls, VA 22066.
