Obituary of Judith Ann McNabb

Judith Ann McNabb, a 20 year survivor of kidney cancer, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 in Reston, VA at the age of 79. Judy was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 16, 1939 to John F. Schmitt and Helen Marie (Blotzer) Schmitt. She was the oldest of 6 children and grew up in Chicago, IL, where she attended the Art Institute of Chicago.

Judy married Francis V. McNabb, Jr in 1961. She supported her husband’s career in the Air Force and then as a corporate pilot, making a home in Biloxi, MS, Roswell, NM, Honolulu, HI, Wauwatosa, WI, Downers Grove, IL, Kingwood, TX, Satellite Beach, FL and Reston, VA. She made good friends and fond memories along the way.

Judy is survived by her 5 children, Moira, Francis III (Lori), Sheila, Meghan (Edward) Sears, and Daniel, as well as 4 grandchildren: Flora, Alan, Pearl and Graham. She will be remembered by her brothers and sisters, Maria (Richard) Loeffler, Frances (Robert) Lovett, John (Keren), Mark, and Gerald, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Francis (Mac), her mother, Helen Marie, and her father, John.
