I knew Mrs. Snelbaker in the mid-1960's, when her daughter Janet and I attended Coronado High School together. Luckily, the Snelbakers lived just down the block on Alameda from me, so I was over there often.
I remember thinking of Mrs. Snelbaker as the "cool" mom, much cooler than my own (sorry, Mom!), as she was outgoing, well-read, well-educated. And could discuss anything, anywhere.
Weirdly enough, I recall discussing movies that I had seen but that neither Janet nor Barbara were allowed to see.
She - the entire family - was so welcoming to me. I will always remember her warmly.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your loved one. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love in death. Please find comfort knowing that "God is close to the brokenhearted and he saves those who are crushed In spirit". (Psalms 34:18) May these words comfort you during this difficult time.
