Obituary of Rosemary McDonald

On February 1, 2019, Rosemary Trueblood McDonald, of Reston VA, passed peacefully. She was the widow of William Thomas McDonald, Mother of Constance E. McDonald of Reston, VA, Cynthia A. McDonald of Winchester, VA, John M. McDonald of Purcellville, VA and James W. McDonald of Clifton, VA. She was also survived by a brother Vance Maurice (Mike) Trueblood of Altadena, CA and by five grandchildren: Chris Martin, Ryan McDonald, Casey McDonald, Megan McDonald, and Devin McDonald.

A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she was a graduate of the University of Iowa and rewarded a Masters of Education from VPI & SU in 1997. She was an educator and administrator with Fairfax County Public Schools with Integrated Language Arts reading programs. She was also a board member for the following local groups: VOCE, OLLI, Carmina and Meet the Artist.

On Wednesday February 6, 2019 at 10am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, VA, a Funeral Mass will be offered, followed by Interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA and a reception at the Church.

The family prefers donations in lieu of flowers. Rosemary wished that donations be made to the following groups that she was active with:
