Obituary of Fruma Yankelevna Gurshteyn

We are very sorry to announce that, at the age of 94, Gurstein Faina Yakovlevnа, who was named «Fruma», passed away in Fairfax, Virginia.

Faina Yakovlevna was born in Belaya Cerkov in the Kievskaya oblast, Ukraine. For many years she worked in the accounting department of Kiev Mostostroy. For more than fifty years, she was married to Efim Isaakovich Gurstein. Together they raised two sons. In 1994, the Gurstein family emigrated to the United States.

Faina Yakovlevna was a very positive and energetic person. She was always surrounded by friends, she was the soul of any company, did not refuse any invitations and never refused to help others.

But her greatest affection was her family: sons Jacob and Leonid, daughter-in-law Svetlana, grandchildren Edward and Felix, Sophia Semenovna (Svetlana’s mother).

The funeral and the final farewell will be held at the Adams Green Funeral Home, in Herndon, on February 12 at 1 pm.

С прискорбием сообщаем, что в возрасте 94-х лет в Fairfax, штат Вирджиния, скончалась Гурштейн Фаина Яковлевна, которую многие звали Фрума.

Фаина Яковлевна родилась в Белой Церкви Киевской области в Украине. Много лет проработала в бухгалтерии Киевского Мостостроя. Больше пятидесяти лет прожила в браке с Ефимом Исааковичем Гурштейном, с которым вырастили двоих сыновей. В 1994 году семья Гурштейн эмигрировала в США.

Фаина Яковлевна была очень позитивным и энергичным человеком. Ее всегда окружали друзья, она была душой любой компании, не отказывалась от приглашений и с радостью приходила на помощь.

Но самой большой ее привязанностью была семья: сыновья Яков и Леонид, невестка Светлана, внуки Эдуард и Феликс, сватья София Семеновна.

Похороны и предшествующее прощание пройдут в Adams Green Herndon Funereal Home 12 февраля в 1 pm.
