Obituary of Vivian Ann Watts

Vivian A. Watts, 94, of Great Falls, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 14, 2019, at Brightview Senior Living in Great Falls, Virginia. 

Vivian was born on September 14, 1924, in Brentwood, Maryland, to the late Laura and Bernard Simms.  She was a loving and devoted mother and wife as well as an active founding member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, Great Falls, Virginia.

Vivian is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Charles Watts of Great Falls, Virginia; sons Kenneth Watts of Sebastopol, California, and Ronald Watts of Greensboro, North Carolina; grandson David Watts of Greensboro, North Carolina; sisters Blannie Wilson of Oxon Hill, Maryland, Gloria Phelan of Burke, Virginia, and Laura Brown of Waldorf, Maryland. 

Vivian is survived by her daughter, Laura (Charles) McCabe of Burke, Virginia, son Bernard (Pennie) Watts of Great Falls, Virginia, son Charles (Kimberly) Watts of Ashburn, Virginia, daughter-in-law Carol Watts of Sebastopol, California, daughter-in-law Pamela Watts of Greensboro, North Carolina, and sister Charlotte Davis of Miami, Florida, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and family friends.

Vivian is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Carrie (Michael) Halpern, Casey (Abbey) McCabe, Timothy (Joanna) Watts, Kevin Watts, Benjamin Watts, Lindsey Watts, Steven Watts, and Tamara (Gerald) Wilson; and ten great-grandchildren, Jackson Halpern, Lane Halpern, Hudson McCabe, Barrett McCabe, Tucker McCabe, Maggie Watts, Makayla Watts, Owen Wilson, Vivian Wilson, and Rory Wilson.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home located at 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia, on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.   A funeral service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church located at 9220 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls, Virginia, on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 11 a.m.
