Obituary of Teresa Louise Therrien

Teresa L. (Philip) Therrien, beloved sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully February 14, 2019, in her home state of Virginia. Born May 4, 1950, one of two children to Chester and Elizabeth Gerstner and raised in Villa Park, Ill., Ms. Therrien launched her nearly four decades-long executive assistant career during her schooling at Southern Illinois University and the College of DuPage, studying business and secondary education.

Her work brought her to America Online, where she served as executive assistant during AOL’s heyday, from 1996 to 2005. She will be remembered as a world traveler, a doting aunt, and a thoughtful friend.

Ms. Therrien was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, as well as her parents. She is survived by her brother, John W. (Mary Anne) Gerstner; her niece Rosemary L. (Jack Silverstein) Gerstner and nephew John W. (Lauren) Gerstner, Jr.; and her great-niece Tiernan R. Silverstein.
