I always enjoyed my visits with Mr. Dan, either via phone or in person when he visited Baton Rouge and the USS KIDD. He never failed to teach me something new. He will be greatly missed, and I look forward to seeing him again someday and swapping stories again. Until then, Mr. Dan, rest easy, ... we have the watch.

Dear Family:
Please accept my sincere condolences. Death is an enemy that we will never get used to. Our Heavenly Father, though, promises to soon swallow up death and resurrect those who have died to a resurrection of life! (Isaiah 25:8 and John 5:25)

I had the pleasure of working for Captain Kris’s at McLean District Station. He inspired me to leave the Fairfax County Police Department with a good Driver Training Program. He was indeed an organizer with a vision of future needs. RIP my friend.

Captain Kriss was one of my favorite people. I first Dan when he was an instructor at NVCJA and was highly impressed by his prossionalism.
I also joined the military under age (Marines), and we had that in common.
Rest In Peace Captain Kriss.

Dan was a work colleague and a true friend for many years.
I am eternally grateful to him for his staunch support and prayers during
my wife's long battle with Alzheimer's. On many occasions he would
accompany me to her care facility and even though her mind had been
obliterated by the disease, he would soothingly talk to her and always
pray for her.
Rest in peace Daniel.....You will be missed.

I’m so sorry for your recent loss. My deepest condolences to your family. Death of a loved one is never easy to endure, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Continue looking to God and you will always find comfort in him (2 Cor 1:3,4). He will soon destroy the enemy of death (1 Cor 15:26), and He will soon return our loved ones to us through the resurrection (John 5:28,29). Please visit JW.org and search “When Someone You Love Dies”, it helped me through some difficult times and I hope you can find comfort in it also.

Captain Kriss was one of my earliest supervisors. He was very good to me. I was lucky to have know his daughter, Carolyn Kriss Burns too. A kind and tender soul to be sure. My condolences to his family. Both he and Carolyn left an indelible mark on my life.
