Obituary of Dorothy Billingslea Lamar

Dorothy B. Lamar,84, of Sterling, VA died peacefully in her home on Monday, March 25, 2019.  Dorothy was born  on July 12, 1934 in Macon, Georgia to Lillie and Harold Lee Billingslea.  She was the 3^rd of nine children in the Billingslea family.

Dorothy owned a beauty shop in Macon, Ga.

Dorothy studied at Teachers College.  She worked at the Department of Agriculture.  She loved gardening, photography and fashion.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Harmon Perez of Sterling, VA, daughter Deborah L. Barnes (Everett) of Sterling, VA, daughter Francois Lamar of Washington D.C. and a son Daniel L. Lamar, Jr. (Fran) of Dover, DE.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA.

Memorials may be made to the Sterling Fire and Rescue or the Loudoun County Sheriffs Office.
