My sincere condolences to the family. I met Sergio in 1985 and he was one of my closest friends in High School and for several decades after. We played football together all four years at GCM. We both contemplated playing Division III football and visited several schools together. We eventually joined the military at the same time and served in the same unit.
Sergio was loyal, honest, funny, compassionate, dedicated and honorable. May God bless his soul. I was honored to have introduced my immediate family to Sergio prior of my relocation overseas. He shall be missed.
May God provide the family strength and comfort during this painful ordeal.
