Joan was a lovely lady and a devoted wife and mother. She was also a friend; we all enjoyed lots of vacations together as well as some "lively" mixed doubles tennis matches. Alzheimer's is such a dreaded disease because when your brain ceases to work, there is nothing left. It's sad for her family to see her in this way but always remember she was so proud of all of you. May she rest in peace. Love, Helene
