Tony is my dear friend for almost twenty years. Without him I wouldn't have my federal career. He was not only my mentor but also my life model. He always said to me "No matter how busy you are, your family is always the on the top of your list. Pay attention to your grandchildren and spend time with them since day one when they were born." and he did what he said. He was a true life leader.
Jean, like you said, you couldn't believe Tony was gone and so do we. Joe and I and our children will miss him terribly. May he rest in peace. May God bless you and family through this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family.
How lucky we feel to have known Tony, someone so wonderful that it makes saying goodbye so very hard. I can’t express how much we loved and cherished Tony. He was truly an incredible soul, full of strength, love, and warmth. We will miss you Tony, very, very much!

Our family moved to Virginia in 1971 and were neighbors of the Dipalos. We became great friends and we are saddened to hear of Tony’s passing. Tony was one of the kindest, most caring man that I’ve ever met. Jean, Tina and Noele, I wish Ed and I could be there to give you hugs. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Tony was a member and good friend in our Cascades 50s Plus Club. Along with wife Jean we enjoyed Tony’s participation in our club activities. Before he fell ill those of us who liked to golf got to enjoy his company on the fairways. We’re attaching a photo of one of those very nice outings from October 2018.

I came to work for the NRC in 2003. Shortly after I met Tony. We quickly bonded and would discuss all things under the sun such as life, politics, stocks trades, etc. What I valued most was that when he gave advice, he never said you are wrong but rather did you consider this option. Even after his retirement in 2004, we continued to talk once or twice a week. I will miss our discussions, his insight and guidance. May he rest in peace.

Tony was like a second dad to me when I was a little girl. Tina and I were like two peas in a pod from the minute I moved to Virginia when I was five years old. For the next five years, Tony carted us around everywhere and tolerated all of our shenanigans. I remember him being a strong, sensitive, funny man. He was the rock of the family and I love how much he loved each one of them so well! He was an amazing husband and father and friend! He will truly be missed. I am praying for comfort and strength for everyone during this difficult time and I wish so badly I could be there, but know that my heart is with you, T, Noele, and Auntie Jean!!

Tony was one of the first people I met when I came to work for the NRC in 2004. He showed me the ropes and I always enjoyed working with him. A few of us would often have lunch at Eatzi's next door.
