Obituary of Loc T. Le
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Lộc Tấn Lê, loving husband, father, grandfather, and
great-grandfather, departed at the age of 85.
Lộc was born on May 19, 1934 in Chợ Lớn, Sài Gòn, Việt Nam to Học and Nhung. On January 12, 1957, he married Phương Xuân Thị Nguyễn. He partook in the Southern Vietnamese Army until he was discharged in 1966. In 1986, he moved to Virginia with his wife and five children.
He enjoyed many pastimes like cooking, gardening, carpentry, fishing, and shopping. He constantly kept himself busy, but always made time to shower his grandchildren with gifts, lessons, and humor. He was petulant yet reasonable, stern yet lighthearted, didactic, clever, and caring.
Lộc is survived by his wife, Phương, six children and their families, including eleven grandchildren, three grandchildren-in-laws, and two great-grandchildren. He is remembered by his children: Cúc and Quang, Phát and Hương, Yến and Sơn, Phượng, Đạt and Hương, and Hùng and Thủy. He is also remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Quỳnh, Tâm and Loan, Nhân, Phúc, Kevin, Jacob, Katherine and Vinh, Jennifer, James and Cynthia, Denise, Monique, Vincent, and Louis.
