Kelsey and I were best friends during her time in Prague and although we were young we would spend hours playing at he horse stable, riding and laughing together. My thoughts are with you all at this hard time. She will be sorely missed.

We will miss Kelsey. Her smile and laughter were so bright and contagious. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
I'll never forget the one fourth of July back in High School, and we were having a BBQ at Kelsey's house. Megan/Molly and her mom were there, and they needed someone to light the fire. The idiot Eagle Scout that I am, decided to light the fluid soaked charcoal grill with the lid on. At one point we decided to take the lid off the grill and a fireball erupted that rivaled the firework shows that evening. After nearly burning down the house, I was the butt of all the majority of the jokes that night, and probably the rest of the summer. Long story short, we always had so much fun with Kelsey and friends. All my memories of her include so much laughter and camaraderie. We will miss Kelsey dearly, and may peace be with you.

Kelsey and I were childhood neighbors but really our friendship blossomed through the performing arts. I had the honor of being her Dad in a town called Anatevka, a knight of the round table to her Queen Guinevere, and many more wonderful shows we were involved with.
I am tone deaf and she would be so very patient to help me any time we sang in a musical or in Spartan Singers.
She was kind, gentle, and always wanted to be a part of the group. I will surely miss her.
My heart goes out to her family who over my life have been welcoming with open arms full of love.

Kelsey and I traveled together to see the “sights and sounds” of Nashville for a veterinary educational conference. We found some great barbecue and searched through many of the tourist shops for gifts to bring home. Oh, and we attended some interesting seminars too. She was a bright star, so exuberant and fun loving. She was always willing to help me learn and grow as a technician. She was an excellent teacher and I greatly appreciated that she willingly shared her skills. She was a mentor and a friend. I will miss her dearly. My deepest condolences to her family and friends; my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I would like to offer the family of Kelsey prayers of strength & comfort at this difficult time. I didn’t know Kelsey very long, but what left a big impression on me was her very nurturing & kind soul. Whether she was talking about a patient, foster/pet or her boys...she had the same twinkle of love in her eyes. Her eyes would light up with love & pride when she would show me a picture or video of her boys. She would say “I have the cutest kids ever”! I will also remember her infectious, joyful (sometimes devious) laugh. On more than one occasion she got us all giggling uncontrollably at the front desk only to have to answer the phone with tears streaming down my face. I hope her boys will always remember she is with them and the voice they hear at the end of the day saying “You can do anything.....never give up”. You only had to be around Kelsey a short time to realize how important family was to her. Peace be with you.

Kelsey and I bonded over our love of musical theatre. On Sunday nights that we would work together at the vet hospital, I would be cleaning and have showtunes playing on Pandora in the back, and occasionally we would catch each other singing along, and just smile at one another, and keep singing along as we each did our work. She was a much better singer than I! Those are some of my favorite memories of her.

Kelsey was a very unique person to work with. She was always easy to talk to when I was frustrated or unsure of the outcome. She would always give an honest answer. Kelsey was always willing to help out when or where she could.
Almost everytime I think about her, I would remember the day her and I were working with a high energy vizsla. Kelsey had come into work a little more dressed up then usual and had these gold dangly earrings in, and that silly little vizsla some how managed to get one of its back nails caught in Kelsey's earring and completely ripped it out of her ear and it went flying across the treatment room. Kelsey barely flinched and kept cool and calm during the whole thing. I remember thinking " Wow, i want to be just like her, calm and collected until the task is done."
I do wish I had more time to listen and learn from everything she could have taught, but I will alway remember what she did.
Kelsey, you will be missed more then you could have ever imagined. To Kelsey's family, please know that she has certainly left an impact on every person she has ever worked with, met, talked to, and taught. I will always look back fondly on all the pictures I have of her and laugh/cry/enjoy every memory.

my heart goes out to all those who loved kelsey. she was a beautiful soul, a great friend to all who needed her - those furry, and those not so much :)
it’s devastating to lose a loved one unexpectedly. i wish there were a roadmap i could share, but there’s not. i wish i could say it will get better, but i can’t. i wish i could tell you it will get easier, but it won’t. all i can tell you is to hold tight to one another. hold on for dear life. love one another every single day as if there’s no tomorrow.
take solace in your memories. cherish the time you had with her.
peace be with you.

I am so very sorry for your families great loss. Kelsey will greatly be missed in this life. I only knew her for a short period of time but was blessed to have been in her presence. I wanted to share this with you to offer you some kind of comfort, it was shared with me recently with the loss of my father, and I hope it helps in some way.
As I sit in heaven and watch you everyday
I try to let you know with signs I never went away
I hear you when you're laughing and watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep
I see you wish the days away begging to have me home
So I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone
Don't feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me
Heaven is truly beautiful just you wait and see
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free
Then I know with every breath you take you'll be taking one for me
Please know that your family is in my prayers

To A Beautiful Light:
There are rare individual who come along occasionally that have an extra special natural ability to light up a room just by being there. It is evident in both Kelsey’s smile, positive attitude, and simple gestures of kindness that she was one of those individuals. A light that now continues in all the goodness that we see.
A favorite memory that always tickled my heart: Kelsey was always a very determined soul - My favorite example of this was when, as a toddler, she would climb out of her crib at night to raid the bounty of chocolate the Easter bunny left her. As a parent, I was always amazed at how she not only climbed OUT of the crib (no small feat on its own at that young age), but was able to climb BACK IN as if nothing had happened. Now that was determination, spunk, and a very bright gal.
It is not a surprise to us that her favorite forms of expression and talents were through music and helping give comfort and aid to animals in need. It is this bright smile and tender nature that we remember Kelsey AND keep her in our hearts.
Although our portion of the Farmer family were separated from Kelsey by physical distance we were and remain very close to her loving spirit. We will miss Kelsey in the physical world, but take comfort she is now with her loving family and our Lord in Heaven. We are sure to see her again. That may sound trite given the enormity of what we feel as a loss, but with time… and as our hearts heal… is an enormous comfort to us.
We shall keep Kelsey lovingly in our hearts, forever.
Enjoy your new found freedom Kelsey.

“Kelsey...don’t let that turtle bite my fingers off!”, I laughed as she held open the mouth of a snapping turtle so I could cut out a fishing wire stuck in its throat. I had no doubt she would keep my hand safe, as I whole heartedly depended on her every day at work. She was my “go to” person for support at Stream Valley. Days with her her easier, days without her harder. She had incredible compassion for animals and people. She was intelligent and a great communicator. She had amazing technical skills. She loved her family, especially her two incredible boys with all of her heart.
I wish we had stayed closer these past few months. I will miss you Kelsey, and the world will feel your loss tremendously.

My condolences to the family of Kelsey. In my short time of working with her at Stream Valley, her passion and commitment to the patients and clients who walked through the doors was wholly evident. Kelsey was remarkably patient; which made her a great leader and teacher, that was easy-going and approachable. Her kindness, laughter, and humor will truly be missed.

To say that I am shocked over the all too soon passing of Kelsey is an understatement. Having worked with her at Stream Valley was a joy and a privilege. She was one of the most compassionate and caring people that I was fortunate to know and work with. Generous with her knowledge, wit, and love for animals, she will ALWAYS have a place in my heart. My deepest sympathies go out to all of her family and boys, know that your Mom was a great and loving person who was a pleasure to be around.
She loved you so much and often spoke of that love she had for you. She will ALWAYS live in your hearts and memories!

Kelsey was fun to work with and her love for animals and her boys always shined through. I remember how Kelsey would bring Encore to work and he would lay underneath my desk and was such a good dog waiting for his mommy to come back in. I also remember how excited Kelsey was to show me the brand new kitten that had been born. She was so sweet and tender with it; I had never seen such a young kitten before. Kelsey always included at least one : ) in every email she sent me which fit her perfectly because she was always smiling. Her family and friends, especially her little boys, are in my prayers.

I wish that I had a picture to contribute here, but suffice it to say that Kelsey was always a bright spot in our visits to Stream Valley. Even when the task at hand was a difficult one. Our rescue dog, Miley, does not like strangers. She dislikes strangers in strange situations even less. One 2 occasions, Kelsey had to be the one who gave Miley a sedative injection in her flank, while Dr. Corey held Miley under a blanket. All of this after having been bitten by Miley while on a visit to our home with Dr. Corey to assess Miley. Thank you Kelsey, for always maintaining a positive and compassionate demeanor. You are already greatly missed.

Her smile; with a twinkle in those eyes. You were never quite sure what might be working in that mind behind those eyes.
Her laugh; bubbly and contagious.
Her voice; a pure joy to those of us blessed to have heard her sing.
Her heart of love; for her husband and children; for her parents and sister; for her extended family and her in-laws; for her friends; and especially for animals.
I remember Kelsey to be a happy and adventurous youngster. One of my earliest memories of Kelsey occurred shortly after we moved into our home on Rochelle Ct. As new neighbors, we were chatting with her mom, Kathy, in our little cul-de-sac, when young Meghan comes to the front door of their house and yelled that Kelsey had climbed up the dresser and dumped over the Goldfish Bowl. I knew right then I was gonna love that girl!
The family moved to Prague for several years and Kelsey grew up. When she returned she was a young lady and was drawn to theatre and chorus at school. Two of my kids were also involved in those pursuits and their friendships easily rekindled. I recall Kelsey in middle school in both Guys & Dolls and Fiddler on the Roof. And then there was Guinevere in Camelot in High School; a very special memory indeed.
For a landmark birthday, Kelsey and Meghan threw a surprise party for their mom. I was honored to be invited but little did I know that those two girls KNEW how to bartend. After about the 3rd Birthday Cake Shooter, I don’t remember much - except that twinkle in Kelsey’s eyes, the little imp!
Kelsey was a beautiful bride and we danced at her wedding. She blessed me with “baby fixes” when Everett was born, and then again with Owen. Her heart was huge and inclusive. I will miss her warmth, her hugs and, of course, that twinkle. Rest well sweet girl.
