Obituary of Mary Jo Casey

Mary Jo Casey, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 31^st 2019.

She was born on September 10^th 1931 in Knocknadiha, Newcastle Ireland to Minnie and John Ahern.  She was raised on a farm in Ireland with her seven siblings; brothers Denis, David, Mike and Chris and sisters Bridie, Nancy and Hannah.

Mary Jo moved to Long Island, New York in 1950 at the age of 19.  She married Patrick Casey in 1956 and became a United States Citizen in 1958.

Mary Jo worked as a nurse at Kings Park State Hospital and then at The State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Following retirement, she lived in Frederick, Maryland for 25 years and in Virginia for the past 5 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Patrick and survived by her son Mark (wife Kristie) and beloved grandson Colin.
