My sincere condolences to Kate's family. I never got to meet her but we connected on Facebook about a year or so ago. We were cousins. We messaged each other and I felt like I had gotten to know her some. When I first saw her picture, I thought to myself, she sure is a Pleasant. My mother is Lorene Pleasant Kirk from Roanoke Rapids, NC, daughter of Walter and Minnie-Pearl Pleasant, sister to Linda Cooper and Mac Pleasant and others. I was so sorry to hear of her passing and I send my prayers and thoughts to the family. May she rest in peace. Gail

I miss you very much dear co-grandmother! I wish we had spent more time together and am very happy that our last conversation was about something you loved so dearly -- your foxes! it was a joy to hear you so engaged and uplifted by the amount of love you invested in them and dear Kathy -- it is that word that best signifies your life: love. Love of our Lord, your parents and grandparents, your husband, your brothers, your children and fortunately for me -- your son-in-law. I am so fortunate to have had you in my family and will keep your memory alive with our granddaughters. Never doubt that for a moment.
