Am so very saddened by learning of Krista’s passing. I interviewed and hired Krista at SAIC many years ago. She was just one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever encountered. She was beyond wonderful and was one of those souls that had an energy and spirit that was unforgettable. I was her manager for a couple of years and always knew that Krista could always be counted on for excellent work but also for making you feel like you were the most important person in the world when you talked with her about something.
So many things in life are temporary...we must honor her life by living like we understand that.

I did not know Krista well, but I do remember her energy and smile. Regardless of the relationship, to hear the loss of such a young and beautiful soul is sad.

Krista was a beautiful gal, inside and out.
I was lucky enough to have her in my Class of 88.
I cried too much to read all of the text in one shot. I will come back to it.
For about 1,000 reasons, I feel Krista did it right. She set such a great example.
We all loved her.
I wish her entire family peace...
I also want to inform her entire family that everyone was 100% better by knowing Krista.

Our hearts and prayers are with Randy, Sierra and all of the family today. I was lucky enough to meet Krista in college we were friends, roommates and part of the a cherished military family. She felt more like a sister than a friend. Her smile was infectious and she loved life, family and friends. She was beautiful inside and out. The strength she demonstrated through her health struggles was amazing. I am proud to be able to call her my friend and Michael and I are sending prayers across the miles today. Hi there you beautiful wild child. We shared work but bonded on our journey of pain and struggle. We had a few great times talking about life and knew we were soul mates the minute we opened up to each other. We lost touch as life evolves yet FB entered and we connected; yet again on more similar struggles. We said we got each other like none other ~ living both with many years of chronic disease - pain. You championed me during your recovery bliss - no more pain! and sent me much love as you said 'how blessed you were to raise your dear Sierra and be with your best friend Randy." Last we talked, you told me a head beast had appeared but all were determined it could be fought and healed.
I did not hesitate in believing you. I wished the inflammation you were dealing with would subside soon. I still have my 'to do' list with your name and 'send card' on it. I was just told today ~ your soul is in mist. I did not know. I am heart broken. I am so sorry Krista. I know how much you loved life, loved you girl and your Randy. I would give my life for yours in an instant. I wish I was given the choice. I wish I would of prayed long before to take me. Only you will understand this. No one else needs to try. I pray for Sierra and Randy. I send much love and light. I am so very sorry.
