Obituary of Helen Fedak Beacham

Helen Fedak Beacham passed away peacefully in Reston Hospital, VA, on September 19, 2019. She was born in Leechburg PA, on June 18, 1922, and grew up on her family's small farm with her 7 siblings. She is predeceased by her loving husband Charles Alfred Beacham. She is survived by 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She liked spending time with her family, puzzling, playing cards, and watching game shows and baseball games.

Helen graduated cum laude from Allegheny Township High School in 1941, and then attended the Pittsburgh Secretarial School graduating in 1944. During the war effort Helen was a machinist at Allen Tool and Gauge Company, where she met her future husband Charles.

She is predeceased by her father Frank Fedak, her mother Anna Maczyta Fedak; and her siblings Michael & Sue Fedak, Stanley & Catherine Fedak, Mary & James Stec, Pauline Fedak, Catherine & Clarence Pongrance, Victoria & Andrew Hathaway, and John Fedak. She is survived by her sister-in-law Marion Fedak.

Her surviving loving children are: Charles & Mumina Beacham of Augusta GA, and grandchildren Charles Beacham & Sau Ting Kwan, Julie & Matthew Moffit and great grandchildren Peter and Phillip, and Erin Beacham; Janet & Frank Costa of Scituate MA, and grandchildren Alison Costa and great grandchild Matthew Foustoukos, and Amy Costa; David & Jacquelyn Beacham of Raleigh NC, and grandchildren Sarah & Curtis Van Iseghem, and Laura Beacham; Thomas & Joan Beacham of Reston VA, and grandchildren Michael Beacham, Christopher Beacham & Sophia Taskova, Emily Beacham, and Valerie Beacham.

While living in Pittsburgh, Helen was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Braddock, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross, 77 Rockland Street, Hanover, MA 02339 where she most recently attended. A celebration memorial of Helen’s life will be at a future time.
