On Oct, 31, 2019 my beloved husband Jack left us to join Jesus in Heaven. He was my life-long love, my best friend, the father of our wonderful sons Jack and Jimmy.
He was an amazing husband and father. We shared nearly 40 years together. There was not a day that passed that he did not tell me he loved me and that he did not reach out and touch me on the arm or the shoulder as he passed by me in our routines. We could still sit together and talk for hours about anything and everything. We laughed and cried together. He was my strength to face the storms that approached our lives and could always make me see the sunshine and rainbows within those storms. He was my peace, my sound of reason, my confidant, my courage, my strength and the love of my life.
He loved our sons with a passion that cannot be described. He taught them to be loving, caring, gentle and strong men. They learned by his example. He was so very proud of the men they have become. There was nothing in this world more important to him than them. And they love him the same.
Jack brought happiness and laughter to everyone he met. He loved to joke and tease. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help anyone in need. If you were a friend to any of us, then as far as he was concerned, you were a friend of his and he treated you accordingly.
Jack fought his long battle with strength and dignity, his outlook during it was never for him, but always the rest of us. I will always love him and be grateful to God that I had Jack to spend my life with. I thank Jack for the precious gift of our sons. I know that someday he will be there waiting for me, to hold me again and tell me that he loves me. He promised. And, he always kept every promise.
