JB was one of the best analysts I ever encountered. Creative -- challenging lots of different types of people especially when he was told it couldn't be done. He will be missed.

I was deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Jim. I will miss how he always would offer assistance whenever needed. You didn't have to ask - he just stepped in and did whatever was necessary. I always admired his intuition for kindness and the giving of himself without hesitation.
I hope that all your wonderful memories with Jim will sustain you through this time of loss.
With sincere sympathy and dolly hugs,
Sandy Moore

My deepest sympathy to the Brown family on Jim's passing. Jim was a good friend and mentor to me at work. He was a seasoned veteran when I started fresh out of college in 1981, and he took me under his wing. He shared not just his knowledge, but his wisdom and common sense, and the lessons I learned served me well my entire career. He cared about the work. He cared more about the people he worked with. In 1990, I had the good fortune to go on a TDY with Jim, and during the off hours got to learn a bit more about his love and high regard for his wife, Judy, and his family. To me Jim will always be the ultimate family man and work professional. I will miss you, my friend.

Andy, Bill, Jason,Valerie, Corbin, Tim, Mrs. Brown and family: we have had the privilege of sharing many special family events with all of you. Mr. Brown was a true gentleman who loved his family, loved his nation, and was highly respected in his community. He always sincerely made everyone around him feel welcomed and always had a smile. He was so proud of all of you and your accomplishments and he enjoyed life. He did not make enemies and treated everyone with respect all of which are rare and few traits shown to people today - what a great example he lived for everyone to follow and what a wonderful life time of good memories he left for all of you - your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to have known him. Rick & Joanna Roberson

We had the great honor of first meeting James in October 2010, while attending the marriage celebration of his grandson, Jason, in Charleston, SC, to Karen's daughter, Valerie. Since then we enjoyed his dignified presence at family gatherings. He will be truly missed.
