Mourning has Broken
In rustic cathedral with wooden spires
a Stones throw from the Shenandoah
enCircled with clover and lattice of leaves
She now Rests with Strength
near the not so Big Meadow
that rises gently before her then yields
to the beautiful daughter of the stars
God's creatures Recreate before her
forevermore a front row seat
to fantastic fall foliage
to first snowflakes in winter
and fresh flowers of spring
with song birds to break her mornings
and crickets to lullaby her nights
She is one with nature
She is one with Christ

Salome...I will miss our infrequent but always interesting phone conversations. I cherish memories of children, cheesecake, and our striped overalls fashion statement! You will be missed. Joan and Dave Oliver.

I remember our great times at Morton High School. Lots of fun and memories. We winter in St. Pete in the winter and wish I had known she lived in the area as we could have gotten together and talked about our times at MHS. God Bless. 43

Salome will be greatly missed. I write this from myself and for all the women of Stone Circle who we have served and supported over the years. She would be happy to know that what we started in 1999 is still going strong twenty plus years later. It is a legacy of love and service for which her family can be proud. Salome, you have been a cherished friend. I an happy and proud to have had you in my life.

Bill and Salome were high school friends, and I started getting to know the Morton High gang at reunions. I fell totally in love with Salome immediately. She exuded warmth, caring and kindness. I can honestly say she is one of my favorite ladies! I always enjoyed our get togethers in Florida, and we stayed in touch after their move back to Virginia. We shall miss those special times, and the phone calls. My life was certainly enriched by Salome's friendship. Sending loving thoughts to Jerry and her entire family. We will miss her!

Salome and I attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school and also Morton High School. In grade school she was always writing plays for some of us girls to perform for our class. There are many various memories of those days. She definitely was one of a kind and will be missed by many but certainly never forgotten. I wish to extend my sympathy to her husband Jerry and her family. May God comfort them during this difficult time and keep them in his loving care.

I met Salome @ graduate school @ CUA. She was very intelligent; had a dry wonderful sense of humor & irrepressible joy. In the most dire situations she could find something to laugh about. And she had a very deep faith. We had a lot of fun times together. She will be missed. My prayers & sympathy to Jerry and the family.

Salome's inner beauty shone through in her family and in her mission to support women in every community where they lived. Salome made the world a better place in so many ways. I send my love and sympathy to the Bartos and Harasty families.
