Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
Tennyson's great poem, Crossing the bar
Ann Ault was our mom's neighbour and (gorgeous) bridesmaid and her husband "Jack" and our dad (WW2 vets) would wave at each other as they visited their sweethearts' homes in Washington DC. Carol, Liz and Cilla Wright send our love to her family.

Mrs. Ault was a wonderful woman with incredible wisdom. She was truly one of my mother's closest friends. She could always help me to see a positive path! All of the Gainey's will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Christmas won’t be the same without Ann. She had a smile that could light up the room and she could make you feel special. She will be missed.

Ann made the most delicious Praline Pumpkin pies that she brought to holiday dinners and she generously shared the family recipe with me. I always remember that lovely gesture and never fail to think of her when I am baking the pies. In this holiday season, my sincere condolences to all of the Ault clan.
