Obituary of Susan Elaine Ellmore

Susan Elaine Ellmore Born Susan Elaine Niswander on November 23, 1950 to Richard and Ellen Niswander. Susan and her family lived in Dranesville, VA in the home that her father built. Tragically, Susan lost her dad in 1960 and it was very hard to lose him at such a young age. She attended Great Falls Elementary, Herndon Middle and Herndon High School. On April 6, 1968 Susan married Wilbur Lee Ellmore and they would be married for the next 51 years. They started their wonderful family having one son and two daughters. Susan dedicated her life to her husband and children. She was a wonderful cook, loved to garden, passionate about her home and loved her pets. She also enjoyed raising chickens. Her family has grown over the years. Her son Bradley has 3 children, Leslie has 7 children and Jennifer has 4 children. From 1989 when her 1st grandchild was born she would be called Nana. She took so much pride in her family and it gave her great joy to have so many grandchildren. She has a total of 14 grandchildren and on December 5, 2019 she became a great grandmother. The Holiday’s were always a special time with Nana because they knew they would be spending time with her and enjoying her famous cooking. In 1977, Susan made the most important decision of her life when she gave her heart to the Lord and accepted Him as her Savior. The Lord guided her throughout the rest of her life. Susan would always have conversations about her love for Jesus. On December 26, 2019 she went to be with her Savior. It’s comforting to know that she will be with Him forevermore. For her loving family left behind she will be sorely missed. You were a wonderful wife, mother and Nana. Till we met again in Heaven.
