Obituary of Frank Edward Pecora
Frank was devoted to God, family, and country, in that order. He had a deeply spiritual life, attended Catholic school thru college. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served as an extraordinary minister and was a World War II veteran. He was married to Mimi Fratto for 41 years until her untimely death in 1990. He raised five children, and assisted in raising throughout the years grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He retired from the Rock Island railroad as a General Terminal Agent, after retirement he worked with his son Frank Jr. in his business. He relocated and lived with his daughter Cheryl, son-in-law Tim and their children for 23 years. He brought love, joy and devotion to family. He had an incredible work ethic and at the age 95 volunteered five days a week in a doctor's office as their master shredder. They knew him as Papa and was loved by all. He is survived by his second wife Pauline , his children Sharon and son in law Jim Kuh , Frank Jr. and daughter in law Shawn, Nicholas and daughter in law Debbie, Cheryl and son in law Tim Healy, Mimi and son in law Joel Appelbaum, 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Frank's viewing will be held January 17,2020 from 6-9 pm at Adams Green Funeral Home ,721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170
His funeral mass will be celebrated January 18, 2020, 11 am at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Road, Clifton Va 20124
There will be an additional viewing on January 20,2020 from 1-3 at Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 Roosevelt Road, Hillside,Illinois 60162.
He will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 South Wolf Road, Hillside ,Illinois 60162 on January 20, 2020
