Obituary of Atsuko Hunt

Atsuko Hunt, 83, passed away peacefully in McLean, Virginia on January 6, 2020.  Atsuko was born in Tokyo, Japan on November 26, 1936 to Tamotsu and Kikumi (Tsukikawa) Sakita. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde R. Hunt. 

Atsuko retired from the federal government following more than two decades of service.  Over the years, she enjoyed living overseas and traveling the world with her husband and children. She had a particular fondness for music and dogs throughout her life.  

Atsuko is survived by her son, Sean, and his wife, Deborah; her daughter, Lisa; her grandchildren, Katherine, Christian and Tessa; and her brother, Susumu, and sister, Naoko.

She will be laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 15, at 12:00 noon.
