Dear Kathy,Carter and family, I cannot even begin to express the deep sorrow I feel at your loss of your son and brother. Such tragedies seem to shake the very foundation of our faith. We ask why and there seems to be no answer, at least not one we can fully understand and accept. I sometimes think God puts people in this world who are too kind and gentle to ever really be a part of it. The turmoil that darkens the world eventually invades these gentle souls..for some there is no shaking it off, no covering it up. Their sensitivity becomes their downfall. Such a good soul your Carter was and is. He and all of you will be in my prayers for some time. May God hold you in the palm of his hand. With my deepest sympathy.

I did not know Carter for a long period of time. In fact, I didn't even know him that well. We met at the end of last year while undergoing sales training. Even though we were acquainted for a relatively short amount of time, I feel the impact of Carter's passing greatly. He was good natured and easy to like. He will be missed at Verizon, and I just wanted to let the family know that we all care. May God keep you strong during this most difficult time.

Words cannot express our sadness at this time. We always considered CJ as another brother for Jon. I was thinking about one time when CJ and Jon hauled about two tons of garden rocks into our back yard in Herndon. Never complained. CJ will remain a sparkle in our hearts forever.
