I lost a good shipmate and a man that inspired me in many ways. Fair winds and following seas Larry. I will always remember our time aboard the USS Albany CG--10in 1968-1970.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am thankful for Larry's full earthly life as he impacted so many throughout his life's journey. I remember his arrival at Missionary Ridge Elementary in the second grade, our next educational step to Brainerd Junior High, and our last local school, Chattanooga High School . Fond memories will always be held dear by his classmates, Sarah H. Love

Larry and I were good friends in high school in Chattanooga in the Hi-Y club and we shared many classes. Upon graduation, everyone wanted to have all their friends sign each grad's yearbook. I took a different tack. I asked myself, "Whose comments in my yearbook will I want to re-read in 10, 20, or 50 years?" I valued Larry's insight. He is the only guy with a comment in my treasured yearbook, CHS 1962.
