Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Bridgeman

Elizabeth “Betty” Bridgeman, 86, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. 

She was the daughter of the late Patrick Raymond and Thelma Clara Kane and the sister of the late Mary V. Kane.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her best friend and husband Samuel M Bridgeman and son Wesley Snoots.

Betty worked at Missionhurst in Arlington for over 25 years before her retirement.  She and Sam were very involved with the Boy Scouts for over 50 years and the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. 

She is survived by her three children John, Kathy, and Mike.  Her eight Grandchildren Zach Bridgeman, Nick Steinman, Maddie Candia, Samantha Bridgeman, Meagan Snoots, Stephanie Bridgeman, Michelle Bridgeman, and Jessica Bridgeman.  And her either Great-Grandchildren who called her “G-GMaw” Zane Bridgeman, Makai Eason, Trinity Eason, Kyla Bridgeman, Lucas Steinman, Shelby Steinman, Brendan Harris, and Wes Steinman.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Adams Green Funeral Home. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA 20170 with Rev. Joe Giordino officiating.  Burial will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery at 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201.   A reception will follow at Missionhurst at 4651 25^th Street N, Arlington, VA 22207.
