Dear Sweet Nimrit, When I think of you I see your happy smiling face enthusiastically painting in a color book. I will always treasure my last visit when you, your mother, your adoring sister Seerit, and I sat around your dining table and painted. You were the star! I know/believe that God is taking care of you and that we will meet again. May God and Guru bless you. With much love, Sharon (Auntie)

Nimrit, I never met you or saw you in person, and nor did I ever feel your touch. I did not get the opportunity to play with you, to pamper you and to cuddle you… so have I thought.
I saw you grow through the eyes of those around you, I felt your touch and warmth through the many hearts you touched. You allowed me to play with you, to pamper you and cuddle you through the bundle of joy that surrounded you for these 6 years. Your bundle of joy was small but incredible, with abundance of love and care showered by your mom, dad, little sister Seerit, Dadi and Bhua.
Nimrit, you were special, you were not there and yet you were there… you will always be there… on my mind and in my heart. You were wiser than your years, and taught us all more than what our lives have.
They say time is the best remedy for grief. Kaka and Simran, losing Nimrit is a pain that can never heal with time, it’s a pain that will forever stay in your hearts. It is a pain that I wish eventually fills you with joy in her memories, that brings back glimpses of her laughter, her charisma, and her stories.
And I hope this helps you learn to live with her loss, carrying her memories tucked in your hearts.

Nimrit dear you took a piece of our hearts with you.
You were beautiful inside and out. You brought tremendous love and joy to our lives. I remember when you were born your mom wanted me to give you 'gurti' keeping with Indian tradition. We used a bit of brown sugar. Nimrit you not only brought happiness to us, in your brief life we learned about being brave, resilient, courageous, and persevere during toughest times from you. We cherish sweet memories of brief times spent with you. Your smile and laughter will always live in our hearts. Nimrit we feel blessed that you were a part of our life and our family though for a very short time. May Good Lord bless you and hold you close to Him.
With love always. Momi dadiji and dadaji

Nimrit Kaur Brar, our 6 years old daughter passed away on April 3rd, 2020 after fighting bravely with her complex health conditions.
She brought a lot of love, joy and happiness in our lives. She was full of dreams and was always curious about life around her. She wanted to work at Panera Bread and travel to India one day. She loved watching Daniel tiger and Frozen movies.
During last months of her life, she liked watching and listening Sikh and Hindu religious stories and hymns.
She is survived by her younger sister and best friend Seerit and her loving family.
We want to thank our family, friends and Children's National hospital staff for supporting and guiding us in difficult times.
Nimrit's Funeral services will be held on April 13th and will attend by immediate family members only.
Our humble request to all, please don't send flowers or gifts.
