Obituary of Mark Randall Eckenrode

Sgt. Mark Eckenrode of the Metropolitan Police Department and U.S. Navy Veteran passed away unexpectedly on April 6th while in the line of duty.The 23-year veteran of the MPD died doing what he loved for the Department he served with pride and distinction. Mark is survived by his wife Alicia; children Brianna, Amanda, Teddy and Brett; his parents Sara and Charlie Hoffman; brothers Don, Eric and Kent; sister Andrea and their families. Brother Steve passed away in March 2020.  A private funeral Mass will be held at St Patrick in Washington DC on Tuesday, April 14th. Due to recent restrictions, a live stream of the ceremony will be available. Internment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery 831 Dranesville Rd Herndon, VA 20170, visitors need to view from their vehicles.
