Obituary of Maria Jesus de Castillo

Maria De Jesus De Castillo (1939 – 2020)

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies, and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11: 25.

Maria De Jesus De Castillo (“Margarita,” “Margo”), age 80, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the precious wife of Santos Reyes Castillo and beloved mother of 6 children. She invested her final years as a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Flowers, especially her favorite pink and red roses, brought her much joy and happiness throughout her life. When she was able, she enjoyed planting and tending to her gardens in her front and back yards that continue to bloom beautiful flowers of various kinds.

She was preceded in death by her son, Carlos E. Rivera.

Margarita Castillo is survived by her husband of 39 years, Santos Reyes Castillo; son, Javier and wife Ana Miriam of San Antonio, TX and daughters, Ana Elizabeth of San Antonio, TX, Elna Marisela and her husband Enrique of San Antonio, Nidia Yanira of Queens, NY, Evelyn Maria and her husband Pablo of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Javier, Karen, Carlos, Michelle, Rafael, Yolanda, Hazel, Carla, Leonardo, Michael, Angelo, Fabiola, Mario, Velginy, Pablo and Emilia; and great-grandchildren, Sofia, Giselle, Mario, Aracely, Giovani, Aralin, Juan Luis, Anthony, Aiden, Angelo, Akari, Aron, Josiah, Danielle, and Sophie. Her family and a host of friends mourn her passing.

A private service will be held at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA. Interment will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.

Due to the Executive Order made on March 12, 2020 barring gatherings larger than 10 people, size restrictions will be applied. The service will be live-streamed on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

María De Jesús De Castillo (1939 – 2020)

María De Jesús De Castillo (“Margarita”, “Margo”), falleció el sábado 11 de abril de 2020, a la edad de 80 años, y ahora está en la presencia de su Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo. Ella era la bienamada esposa de Santos Reyes Castillo y la querida madre de 6 hijos. 

Ella invirtió sus últimos años en ser una esposa amorosa, ama de casa, madre, abuela y bisabuela. 

Las flores, especialmente las rosas rosadas y rojas que eran sus favoritas, trajeron mucha alegría y felicidad a lo largo de su vida. Cuando pudo, disfrutó plantando y cuidando los jardines de su patio interior y delantero, que continúan floreciendo una amplia variedad de hermosas flores. 

Le precedió en la muerte su hijo, Carlos E. Rivera.

Margarita Castillo es sobrevivida por su esposo de 39 años, Santos Reyes Castillo; hijo, Javier y esposa Ana Miriam de San Antonio, TX e hijas, Ana Elizabeth de San Antonio, TX, Elna Marisela y su esposo Enrique de San Antonio, TX, Nidia Yanira de Queens, NY, Evelyn María y su esposo Pablo de San Antonio, TX; sus nietos, Javier, Karen, Carlos, Michelle, Rafael, Yolanda, Hazel, Carla, Leonardo, Michael, Ángelo, Fabiola, Mario, Velginy, Pablo y Emilia; y bisnietos, Sofía, Giselle, Mario, Aracely, Giovani, Aralin, Juan Luis, Anthony, Aiden, Ángelo, Akari, Aron, Josiah, Danielle y Sophie. Su familia y sus amistades lloran su fallecimiento.

Un servicio privado se llevará a cabo en “Adams Green Funeral Home” en Herndon, VA. El sepelio será en el cementerio “Chestnut Grove”, también en Herndon, VA.

Debido a la Orden Ejecutiva del 12 de marzo del año 2020, que prohíbe las reuniones de más de 10 personas, se honrarán las restricciones de tamaño de grupo. El servicio se transmitirá en vivo el sábado 18 de abril del año 2020, a la 1:00 pm hora del este.
