Obituary Notice for Irene C. Materazzi Irene C. Materazzi, age 96, of Reston, VA, a resident at the Lake Anne Fellowship House for the past 27 years died on November 3, 2007 at Reston Hospital Center. She was born on July 4, 1911 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Michael and Bernardina Calderazzo. Irene retired at the age of 62 from a Ford dealership. Sometime later she applied for a position at Bradlees in Reston, assigned to the Women's Clothing Department. She remained there until they closed in 1989 when they vacated for the arrival of Hechinger's. After the closing of Bradless she was content to stay at home, and looked forward to visiting her grandchildren more often. Irene went to work for Larry Cohn at the Lakeside Pharmacy on Washington Plaza at Lake Anne, one of Reston's most established businesses. She remained at the pharmacy for 12 years and when she "retired" this time it was for real. Irene's interest and hobbies are music, opera, cooking and traveling. Irene was the loving and devoted mother of Maury Materazzi and his wife Barbara, proud grandmother of Theresa Materazzi and Andrea Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Blake Johnson, a beloved sister of Josephine Stivale, aunt to one niece and one nephew, all of PA. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 23 rd from 10:30am to 11:30am at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where a Memorial service to celebrate Irene's life will be held at 11:30am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Virginia Division, Inc., Northern Virginia Area, 124 Park Street, S.E., Vienna, VA 22180
