Raul Diaz Jr was a native of New York City and a resident of Virginia for the last 30 years, went on to be with the Lord May 15th 2020.

He was born November 17, 1958 the first born of the late Raul Diaz Sr. and Maria Hernandez.  He was preceded in death by his younger brother Rafael 'Pepo' Diaz and his precious son Josiah Raul Diaz.

He survived by his wife of 35 years Barbara Diaz and his two daughters Betheny and Brianna and five grandchildren Lucy, Jessica, Joseph, Jeremiah and Bently.

He also leaves behind his beloved mother Maria Hernandez and his siblings Maria Josefa, Roberto, Rosemarie, Vilma, Ricardo and Rodolfo.   Together from his brothers and sisters he has 12 nieces and 11 nephews.

Junior was a charismatic talented man. He gained his associates degree in horticulture, by trade he was a wonderful carpenter and a dream was fulfilled when he more recently graduated from culinary school. He loved cooking because his real love was people it was his gifting. He loved gathering sharing talking feeding helping it didn't matter He was Mr hospitality.

Junior gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1999 at Grace covenant Church. where he was baptized and filled with the holy Spirit He loved the Lord and his church family.  He's always had a real pension for people as he still in touch with friends from when he was 8 years old He loved keeping in touch I used to tell him he was the pied piper that people just flocked to him. He was loved and will be missed by so so many.
