What a lovely lady! I'm sure her beautiful wedding gowns became priceless mementos for so many. I have been friends with Lucy for many years, and have remained impressed by the loving care Mrs. Romano received. I'm sure she was an excellent model for her children and grandchildren. So very sorry for your loss.

We sing our songs.
We sing them now just as we did before.
We end each one with only a pause
and then begin again.
We sing our songs--
the silly, the sweet, all from so long ago.
They wait in hopeful silence
til we pull them from the edge.
We sing our songs.
We sing the ones that both of us have loved.
The words are true and the tune is right
from my mom’s memory.
We sing our songs,
they’re not erased,
they’ve still been spared,
they still are there,
they keep us here,
we sing our songs,
and they sound beautiful;
she still sounds so beautiful
when we sing our songs.

My Aunt Marie, and Godmother truly touched so many lives. All those wedding gowns she especially designed and made for brides to wear on one of their most joyous days, was just one of her special gifts she shared. When I think back to some of the happiest memories of my childhood, most are those times spent at the home of my Aunt Marie, Uncle Babe and cousins. All those wonderful get togethers to celebrate so many occasions will be held in our hearts forever, by all the family and friends that where there to take part. My Aunt Marie's cooking always was amazing, and she was a wonderful hostess. She lived her life to it's fullest. Hope her spirit lives on in all of us, and we are truly blessed to be apart of her story. Rest in Peace, my Dear Aunt Marie.
Love, Marianne

You will live in my heart forever. You were more than my my mother in law, you were my friend. I hit the jackpot when I got you! You were fun, loving and selfless. You will always be at our gatherings, your recipes, stories of what you did and the list goes on and on. You made me the most wonderful gowns starting with my wedding gown, military ballsAnd dresses.. You were incredibly talented ! And that did not include the alterations you accomplished. I loved cooking with you, okay the first time you dropped pigs feet into my sauce pots got to me! Your motto was if there is “food left over someone went hungry “. I love, miss you and you will live forever in our prayers, our hearts, your children, grandchildren and great grand children . Rest is peace, you are missed already.
