I met bill over 40 years ago as a prosecutor in Fairfax County. He never sweated the small stuff was mindful of the common man and peoples frailties. He had the power to say yes to giving people a second chance and on many occasions he did. He was a friend, a colleague, and actually made fairfax county a better place to live. He was fortunate to have been retired at an early age and I’m hopeful he enjoyed every moment of it. I’m sure his family is saddened by his loss but to every life there is a season. Take care bill say hello to Gus, john, warren and your other friends from the alibi

I first met Bill when I was a young lawyer back in 1980. He was a very good lawyer and always had time to talk and give his opinion and advice. He had a great personality and and a gracious way about him. His easy manner was enhanced by a great sense of humor ; in short, he was an all around great guy. I was lucky to have known him and will miss him greatly. My condolences to his family. Ron Smith

When God created Bill, He did a great work! One of the best prosecutors that ever worked at Fairfax and a great person. It's a mystery to me why God takes so many "good" people so early in life. My mother would tell me that God wanted another beautiful flower for His garden. Bill was a beautiful, funny person that is a great addition to God's Garden. My prays and thought go out to his family.

Bill was a super, funny and energetic guy. As a prosecutor, he was absolutely one of my favorites. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to work with and be around. I know many of my colleagues and detectives on the Fairfax County Police Department new Bill as a true and trusted professional. I know he will be missed. May God bless and keep his family during this, most difficult of times. My prayers are with you all and I am so very sorry for your loss.

To Bill's Family, He was just a great guy and as you already know a joy to be around. When he was the prosecutor it made the job something special. He stood out as one of the favorites of many of the detectives besides myself. May the Lord fill the void that I know you feel. Just a great person and one that is not easily matched. My deepest condolences. Rick Daniele, Retired County Detective
