Dorothy was a bright, articulate women with a gift for storytelling. Participating in Bible studies with her was always enlightening. Sitting behind her and Larry in worship services or watching them as Larry took photos of church events and Dorothy chatted with the children and adults was a delight.
We spent hours talking about the art and joy of writing. She had a wealth of stories to share. Her directness and honesty were admirable. If you asked for her opinion, you got it - even when it might ruffle some feathers. You always felt that what she had to say was from the heart - direct and honest and spoken with love.
We had limited contact in recent years but she remained in my prayers and memories of her always bring a smile. She will be missed.
