Dear Vito and Family, so very sad to hear of Linda’s passing. I remember Linda as someone who was always smiling, and always looked forward to seeing her coming in to golf. May you all be blessed with wonderful memories of times past. She will always have a place in my heart. Thoughts and prayers, Bonnie Smith

Eulogy presented by Regina Papini, Linda's eldest daughter:
Linda was born June 15, 1947 in Ozone Park, NY. She was married young, by today’s standard, at 19 years old. A year later she had me, the honeymoon baby, a week before she turned 20. A year later, to the day, she had my sister AnneMarie, and 3 years after that, she had the baby of the family, Susan.
Growing up my sisters and I were swimmers. My Mom would take us to swim lessons at the dingy little 20 yd pool in Perth Amby, NJ. After that we were hooked and we spent most of our time at the YMCA a mile from our house in Parlin, NJ. I clearly remember those summer practices from 7 am to 9:30 am. Waiting for us at 9:30 was Mom with breakfast and our lunches for the day. We lived at the Y from 7 am till closing. During the winter, Friday night was pasta - we needed to load up on our carbs for energy. It didn’t matter if it was a simple dual meet or championships. We really loved our pasta with gravy.
She loved planning our vacations. At 1st they were once every 5 years to Walt Disney World. As my sisters and I grew, Mom allowed us to bring our significant others with us, and the vacations became more frequent to every other year. As our families grew, so did the frequency of the vacations to yearly. At 1st she would alternate 1 year at Walt Disney World and 1 year to the Outer Banks in NC. Eventually the family vacations grew to 22 people including a close friend of the family and our cousin’s family. One year she decided to try something different: a Disney Cruise. When organizing a group this size became too overwhelming for Disney, she switched the family vacations to yearly at the Outer Banks. One thing that was constant with all the vacations was having our meals as a family. Trying to accommadate 22 people in on sitting was always a challenge, especially at Walt Disney World, but she always managed to make it work. And if you were late …. Let’s just say you did not want to be late for any meal with my mother.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, her 1st grandchild, she would call me every day at work. My sister made the comment that having a call EVERY day would drive her crazy. I just rolled with the flow. She was very excited to actually witness the birth of my daughter. She loved all of her grandkids. At Christmas, besides the many presents she bought for them, she would have a stocking for each one of them - needlepoint stockings she had made - forget the daughters, it had all become for the grandkids. She always said she wished she could skip being a parent and go right to being a grandmother.
I don’t remember when I got this poem but felt it is very appropriate for today.
My Mom may be gone but she will not be forgotten - she will forever live in our hearts.

Dear Vito & family,
Saddened to hear of Linda's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. She loved you all so much and the illness that took away her smiling face and bubbly personality had to be so frustrating. She was a beautiful person and her devotion to her faith remarkable, I have no doubt she is smiling down on all of you from her well deserved place in our Lord's house. Never lose the wonderful memories she made for all of you and all of us that were blessed to have known her. May the Lord bless you and keep you always in his care. Thinking of youwith our deepest sympathy Jim and Marge
