Ann was a wonderful woman. I worked with her at the NRC, and will always remember the kindness she extended me. I was a working, nursing mother who needed a discreet place to pump while simultaneously getting work done. Ann, being the champion of equal rights that she was, offered up her office space so that I could handle my challenging job while also taking care of my family business. Throughout those 3 months I learned something of Ann's background. She was a woman of the world, very savvy, very sharp-witted, very very smart, and a truly good person. Many NRC staff looked to her for her views on things. Her kindness and empathy were inspiring. I will always recall her fondly.
