Obituary of Robert Joseph Maysenhalder

Robert J. Maysenhalder, age 88, of Herndon, VA, formerly of San Francisco, CA, died on December 11, 2008 at his home. He was born on August 17, 1920 in San Francisco, CA to the late Otto C. and Marguerite Maysenhalder. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was active at the Herndon Community Center and was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman for most of his life. Robert also attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was a member of the Sierra Club. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Maysenhalder, loving and devoted father of Nancy Ficco and her husband Marc of Herndon, VA and Robert Otto Maysenhalder and his wife Melani of Clever, MO, brother of Kenneth Maysenhalder of San Francisco, CA, proud grandfather of Max, Blake and the late Jonathan, great-grandfather of Gabrielle and Zoey. A memorial service will be held in Colorado at a later date. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the James McMurtrey Scholarship Fund, C/O Maui Community College, 310 Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului, HI 96732.
