Sonnia G. Prieto age 72 passed away surrounded by her family on July 10, 2020 at VCU Hospital in Richmond.  Sonnia, a local resident of Herndon for 45 years worked as a payroll analyst for a local government contractor. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Arturo Prieto and her son Ivan Prieto.

Sonnia was a loving grandmother to her only grandchild Drake Prieto.

Sonnia was one of ten siblings Anita, Gigi, Nora, Giannina, Pilar, Christina, Juan, Miguel and Alberto who continue to reside in Virginia  and West Virginia. She was like a mother to all.  Helping raise her brothers and sisters from an early age.  She provided comfort, strength, love, wisdom and protection.  Always keeping her promises. Sonnia was the rock of the family and family was her unwavering focus.  She will be remembered for her strength in character, her honesty, her kindness, her wisdom and her loving heart for family.

Sonnia’s funeral services will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home (721 Elden St Herndon, VA 20170) on July 25th from 9AM to 11:30AM.
