To my sister Diane and children, Rosa, Tracy, Alfred, Letatia and your families,
It was always a joy and pleasure spending time with Alfred. He was always calm and composed and throughout our lives the distance separated us but when we met again the time fell away and we reconnected closely. We already miss him dearly, his smile, his laughter and his love for his family, but we know he is at peace and will always be in our hearts. May your cherished memories console you at this time and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hey paps, I know you were angry, you were tired, you were frustrated, you had lost hope in everyone and everything around you, you were in pain and your faith has been tested to it's climax. I saw the excitement in your eyes the first time you saw me visiting you at the hospital, but then I angrily and sadly watched all your hopes faded away when I told you you were not coming home with me, that you were going home to be with the lord. We talked for as long as you could bare the agony of losing your breath and grasping for every bit of oxygen you could suck up in one breath. We talked about your illness, we talked about you making your own decisions in all that was going on and how much we were trying to get you to do things you didn't want to do, like accept the ventilator and CPR if needed. You knew what you wanted, some may see that as if you were being selfish. We all thought that you were giving up too easy and that we needed you to fight, keep on fighting, we said. Little did we know, you were fighting, you had fought 18 days. You were fighting so many battles at once while our selfish needs wanted you to come home. We saw our sick father laying in a hospital bed with a deadly disease that was killing you slowly on the inside but what we did not see were all the other things that was also killing you. Like not being able to hold your wife, hug your kids, spoil your grandkids and greatgrand kids, not being able to have another meal with your family, holidays and birthdays and family outings will no longer be the same, tell us you love us and cook for us and all the other million things you will not be able to accomplish in life. You wanted to come home and we wanted you to but we couldn't grant you that wish. We prayed together, we cried together, we hurt together, the pains were different but they were there. That very morning before we had our last visit at the hospital, I didn't know how to explain this clearly because I was scared, I was crying but I saw you being cleansed by our lord and saviour Jesus. I saw you laying in a room with only one nurse and the room was filled with circles of lights. Then I saw a human like shaped figure of whom I believe to be Jesus, wearing a white foggy gown, appeared out of nowhere and touched you. A bright spark of light came from your chest, only the left side of your chest. All the circles of lights disappeared, he turned gave me a slight wave and then vanished into nowhere. The reason I was scared was because you were laying there and I thought that you were either going to hell or you were coming home to us. I was shaking, I took my wife outside, I was crying frantically and I told her what I had just experienced. I couldn't make sense of it for hours, I received a phone call a few hours later for me to come to the hospital for a meeting with hospice and a few other hospital officials before I can come to see you. When I got there, instead, I was instructed to go to your room. I made my way up to your room and it was just enough time for me to witness you taking your final three breaths at 2:45pm on July 16th, 2020. Somehow, I felt at ease as I watched you go in perfect peace when your heart went from 82 to 0 in less than a minute. As devastating as it was watching you leaving us I knew right then and there the meaning of what I had seen that morning. I saw your body got cleansed, all your sins washed away, all your diseases were removed from your body, you were left there for me to come and see you go in peace as you had wished for me to be there days before. I did not cry, I had no tears in me, maybe I got prepared for that moment, I don't know. But what I do know is that, you fought a great fight, we have forgiven you, you lived an amazing life, you loved your family and friends, you have given us the best life you could and we thank you for that, you have been blessed, you have been renewed, you have been loved and now you shall go and live another chapter of your life in the Kingdom of God. I love you paps and I always will. Your only son.....Alfred Nicholas Campbell. YOU ARE INDEED

When Freddo was 4 years of age, I started combing his hair with a curl on the left side of his forehead. He kept that curl for years after and I remember him looking from side to side in the mirror while combing the curl.
There are so many events in our lives as siblings, that I will keep forever in my memory, of my dear little brother, Freddo.
Jeff and I are still numb from this tragedy that has hit us and Freddoâs family.
