Obituary of Elbert F. Beach

Elbert F. "Shorty" Beach, age 87, a longtime resident of Herndon, VA died on July 29, 2008 at his home. He was born on May 4, 1921 and raised in Great Falls, VA to the late Leonard and Mildred Beach. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. Elbert was the companion of 29 years of Bea Higgins and her children and grandchildren, loving and devoted father of Brenda LeMasters and her husband Bobby of Ocala, FL and the late Bonnie Marie Beach and Karen Lee Beach, brother of Mildred Annette "Skippy" Lacey and the late Selma (Toopie) Cockrell and Melvin Beach, uncle of Christina Webb Dugard and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1 st from 6-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2 nd at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery, Great Falls, VA.
