Obituary of Linda Agnes McGraw

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda A. McGraw, November 5, 1947 to August 26, 2020

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend died peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and graduated from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing at Loyola University. She moved to Virginia in 1970 and spent her nursing career and her life taking care of others. Upon retiring from nursing after 40 years, she joined Kettermans Jewelers as a part-time sales associate. She also continued her passion of taking care of others by becoming an active volunteer at Loudoun Hunger Relief and Loudoun Therapeutic Riding. Linda was also a lover of the arts so it was only natural that she would volunteer, as well, at Wolf Trap National Park. Linda is preceded  in death by her parents, John and Henrietta Dempsey (née Callahan), and sister, Nancy Dempsey. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael J. McGraw; daughter Kelly Wnek and son-in-law Bill Wnek; daughter Amy Hallett and son-in-law Chad Hallett; grandchildren Josie Wnek, Isabelle Wnek, and Fisher Hallett; and all of her life-long friends.

There will not be a service at this time due to the pandemic; however, the family hopes to have a celebration of life ceremony sometime next year. If you wish to make a contribution in her honor, please consider Loudoun Hunger Relief or Loudoun Therapeutic Riding.
