Leo was a good friend long after I left the squad. He was a great mentor, teacher, and cared about so many. I will miss him. Chris Miller,

I am Patrick Glick, CRNP-a nurse practitioner and ACLS instructor. For the past 30 + years I have had the opportunity and privilege to teach ACLS with Washington Metro ACLS and Leo Kelly.
It was a pleasure to teach ACLS with Leo and his associate-John Purcell. I enjoyed both sharing knowledge with others and gaining knowledge from being there teaching with guys like Leo.
Leo was a great guy. He always had a joke up his sleeve or a good story to tell so you were guaranteed a smile on your face before the session was over.
But there was also a serious side of it and of having a program do an important and quality job.
And the dedication of Leo to the Washington Metro ACLS program was nothing that anyone can ever make small change of.
His keeping it going for all those years and training all the health providers the program did was a great achievement to be proud of.
My sympathies and condolences to Leo's family and his many friends.
May you rest in peace, Leo
God Bless
Patrick Glick

I have so many memories of Leo. He was my teacher, a sounding board when I was Rescue Chief, a mentor and a friend. His passing leaves such an empty place in my heart. My condolences to his family.

Leo was an amazing person. He taught my first EMT class and I learned so much from him...and not just about emergency medicine. Incredible instructor. He is loved and missed by us all.

I am so glad that Leo and I had a chance to re kindle our friendship over the past few years. We shared in many phone conversations every week, the old family memories and being together in our hometown of Elizabeth at the grandparents. He was a good man and he will be missed by us all. He was truely one of a kind. Condolensces to Shannon and his grandsons. Glenn Blaze & family.

I remember cousin Leo fondly. He was ten years my senior but I recall him being kind and funny when he was still here in NJ and we all got together at grandma’s house in the Elizabeth, NJ. My condolences to the family
